What do you do?
We pick up dog poop, the one chore that the most lovable dog owner would rather not do. DPWS will come to your home, apartment, community, event or place of business and eliminate any evidence that a dog used it as a personal bathroom. 🙂
How much do you charge for this needed service?
Our rates are based on the number of dogs, size of yard and the price of gas. If for whatever reason we need to change the rates we will inform you before we change them. No contracts! No crap! Visit our rates page, or give us a call.
Isn’t Dog Poop Fertilizer!
NO! Dog poop in particular is not fertilizer like cow manure. Unlike other animal poop, dog’s have a high protein based diet which makes their poop very acidic and toxic. This info isn’t glamorous but we thought you should know Dog’s diets are very different. Most dog foods today are composed of beef, chicken and/or pork products. This creates a high acidic waste product that is bad for your grass and can leave your backyard full of brown spots, smells and not the place for playing with the kids.
How can dog poop be harmful to my health?
Dogs tend to carry a host of bacteria that is harmful to humans. In fact, one gram of dog waste can contain 23 million fecal coli-form bacteria. Some ailments that can affect humans are: Salmonella, Parvo Virus, Trichinosis, Whip-worms, Hookworms, Roundworms, Giardia and Coccidia. Furthermore, parasites from dog waste can be passed on to children, other dogs, and even themselves. Some of the possible ways a dog may obtain various different parasites, viruses and stages of bacteria from their own poop include: rolling in their feces, pawing at it, and in rare instances even eating it-coprophagous.
What do you do with the dog poop after you pick it up?
We throw it on your neighbor’s yard and leave them a business card. Actually, we bag it and throw it away in your trash can. If that’s not possible or desired, we simply take it away for you.
Do I have to be there when you’re there?
No. We love meeting our customers but most of them work during the day and find it difficult to arrange a time to be home. However, if you want to be there the first time we come service your yard, just let us know and we can schedule a time to meet you and your dog. This is also good if you need to show us how to gain access to your yard for future visits.
How do I set up service?
It takes about 3 minutes. Call us now, answer a few quick questions and you will be relieved of your doody duties. We are usually out serving customers during daylight hours so if you leave us a voice mail, most calls will be returned in the evening unless you specify otherwise.
Do I need to tie up my dog when you service my yard?
In most cases that is not necessary. Most dogs just want us to play with them or give them one of the healthy and nutritious doggy treats we keep in our pockets. However, if you think your dog might present a challenge, please help us keep “safety first.”
Do you work in the rain?
We work in just about any weather except a constant downpour, snow, tornadoes and severe weather warnings. Remember, your dog’s business is our business, so we want to serve you! If we are unable to service your yard due to weather or an emergency, no refund will be given because we will have 2x’s the poop to pickup upon our return that next week.
Do I have to sign any contracts?
No. However, when you pay, you are able to set it up so that your payment automatically renews every month. Other than that, the only thing we ask you to sign is a form that gives us permission to be on your property, and outlines our policies and procedures.
